The Return of Christ

As the end times approach, many signs will precede the return of Christ (Matthew 24), including the “apostasy” and the revealing of the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). These events will usher in a season of unprecedented suffering, culminating in the release of Satan to gather the nations for the final battle (Revelation 20:7–8).
Then Christ will visibly return “ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). At His coming, He will raise the dead (John 5:28–29). Those who died in Christ and those still alive in Christ will receive glorified bodies like His (Philippians 3:20–21), while unbelievers will be raised for judgment. Fully conformed to Christ (Romans 8:29), we will meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17) and participate in His ultimate victory (Revelation 20:9–10).
